I'm so intent on keeping this blog an ART blog, and not an infrequently updated text blog- that I decided I'll just throw out each drawing as they come along. This is pretty much my first ever colored pencil drawing.

Last year we briefly used colored pencils on the small drawing of a ribbon- but I wouldn't count that. I call this my first, and I'm not satisfied. The colored pencils are far too waxy, and it's difficult to actually cover the paper in lighter colored areas without over saturating the colors or adding uncomplimentary neutrals that alter the hue. Hmph. Awful. Next is a colored pencil drawing of a sliced apple. I hate you apples. All of you.
